The Founder and President of Reddy Care Physical & Occupational Therapy, Dr. Vinod Somareddy, PT, DPT, built his practice in 2003 under the guiding principles of providing quality care that fosters a patient-centered culture committed to improving the lives of everyone who comes through the door. The current practice services patients in both Great Neck and Farmingdale, as well as, physical and occupational therapy in the comfort of the patients home. Dr. Somareddy has also had experience working for a private equity firm that acquired physical therapy offices. His background in mergers and acquisitions has assisted him in learning about business organizational management, growth strategies, financial management and working top leaders in the industry to create organizational partnerships. As the eldest son in the family, Dr. Somareddy decided to honor his father’s own dedication to patient care, naming his practice after him. Dr. Somareddy’s father, nicknamed “Reddy,” worked as a nurse at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (now Northwell Health), where he garnered a reputation for his knowledge, perseverance, and compassionate patient care. Dr. Somareddy knows his success stems from his father’s influence, and he built a team that puts the patient’s needs above all else. Dr. Somareddy earned his Masters degree at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and ultimately a Doctorate at Rocky Mountain University in 2002. Dedicated to his profession, he is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association and participates in many educational programs, lecturing on clinical and administrative topics. Each episode, Physical Therapy Talk Rehab will feature topics ranging from human resources, clinical management, clinical staff development, physician relationships, business management and the marketing component of a physical therapy practice, as well as peers and owners of physical therapy practices who are going to talk about how to manage your practice and your services, and the like.
